Timothy Barco

Timothy Barco is an artist from Sri Lanka with a wide rage of backgrounds. A photographer and filmmaker by profession, he is also qualified Montessori teacher with a background in child psychology. He has worked as an art and a drama teacher in Sri Lanka where he has been a part of big theatre productions such as West Side Story, Lion King and Phantom of the Opera 

Tim has worked with children from all walks of life; from street children and children in slums, to children affected by tsunami and war. His first children’s book “The 3 Friends and the Big Wave” was translated in to 4 languages and is one of the most published books in Sri Lanka.

At present Tim works as a freelance photographer and is a drama instructor at the Zurich International School Lower School for their after school program.
