The newest offering in our Urban Adventure Series, we are psyched to offer this skating workshop with expert streetstyle, bowl/pool skateboader Lars Eugster at the Freestyle Halle in Zürich! The hall will be open for Swiss Adventure Camp's private use. Beginners are welcome and encouraged although this workshop is for all levels! We are only accepting a very small number of participants for this workshop so that instruction may be focused and personalized to YOUR level. You will come away from this workshop with marked increased skills!
Included in the camp fee: Nine hours of focused instruction in a very small group by expert skater Lars Eugster, all entrance/hall fees and all top quality gear supplied by Rollladen Skate Shop: Skateboards, helmets, knee pads, wrist pads and shin guards.
We must have our minimum of 3 participnts to run this camp. Bring along a friend!
What you need: Preferably skate shoes, vans, nike skate, és skate shoes, etnes, etc. Sneakers are acceptable but have too much padding.. you need to feel your board! Loose clothing.. in layers! The hall can be very cool. Water bottle (and snacks if you like.)
Day 1
Welcome and intro games.
Target objectives for kids.. What is your goal? Is it attainable?
Talk about the program, skateboards, gear; what , where and why important?
Warm up excercises and games.
Build up riding step by step: (All boards first adjusted for each participant.)

Feeling for your feet.

Feeling your board with your feet.

How to stand when pusuhing, riding and steering.

Check skill ability of all partipants*

Braking!

Practice above.

Starting slalom.

Different types of steering.. bushing vs kick turn.

How to gain more speed and feel secure with it.

Drop in from a small ramp.

Ride a small ramp and run down Fackie (backwards).

Ending games which repreat skills introduded during day.. repeated daily at end of day which shows participant and instructor progression.
*If you are more advanced…In parallel to above Lars will instruct simultaneously making sure that you can competently demonstrate proficiency of the above listed skills. If so.. you will be instructed at your level in parallel. If ready, you will be instructed in any new trick you would like to try.. grinding, sliding, flipping, 180’s 360 ollie's as long as the instructor feels you are ready. Lars is able to demonstrate and teach all of these tricks.
Day 2
Review yesterdays goals and set new ones.
Review day 1 skills.
Practice and instruction becomes very personal and invidualized at tihs point as participants will progress at different speeds.
Demo of how an ollie works… practice..
Possible introduction of kick turn on the ramp to ride down fackie..
Speed and height....how to gain and increase.
Ending games.
Day 3
Review of goals and settuing new goals.
Repeat and practice of day 1 and 2 skills.
Introduction of new tricks based on level of students.
Ending games.
All skills are demonstrated first and then assisted physically by instructor!
